Prosper Enrichment

Our Enrichment Program at our Prosper location is held on Fridays from 8:30am to 2:50pm.

Arrival Time: Between 8:15am and 2:50pm

Schedule:
8:45am — 10:00am: Morning Enrichment Class #1
10:00am — 11:15am: Morning Enrichment Class #2
11:15am — 12:15pm: Lunch
12:15pm — 1:30pm: Afternoon Enrichment Class #1
1:30pm — 2:45pm: Afternoon Enrichment Class #2

A Student Registration fee of $75 is due at the time of registration.

Families having more than one sibling concurrently enrolled in the Enrichment Program will receive a $10/month discount for each additional sibling at an equal or lesser tuition rate.

Full Day Price (4 classes)

  • $250/month (4 payments) for Enrichment Only students
  • $200/month (4 payments) for 2-Day Ancora Academy students.
  • This is a semester-long commitment.

Half Day Price (2 morning classes or 2 afternoon classes):

  • $125/month (4 payments) for Enrichment Only students.
  • $100/month (4 payments) for 2-Day Ancora Academy students.
  • This is a semester-long commitment.

Half day students may stay through lunch (11:15am — 12:15pm) or come early for no additional cost.

K-2nd

8:45-10am (choose one):

  • Classic Children’s Books & Art – Read a new book each month which will include an art piece & a writing project. Books may include Corduroy, Frog & Toad, Paddington, Peter Rabbit.
  • [FULL] Cooking & Crafts – Mix, roll, stir & bake. Fun mixture of cooking & crafting!

10-11:15am (choose one):

  • Winter to Spring – Learn about the natural world during the winter and watch as it turns to
    spring. Explore winter & spring animals, bugs & flowers. Indoor & outdoor activities. Plenty of
    time outside when the weather gets warmer.
  • Music & Bible Stories – Sing songs, create art & learn bible stories like Jonah & the Whale & Daniel in the Lion’s Den.
  • PE Skills & Games – capture the flag, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and more!

 

3rd-6th

8:45-10am (choose one):

  • STEM – Build, create, solidify math facts, and explore science!
  • Beginning Coding – This is for the student who has an interest in coding, but never had instruction.
  • Patriotic Penmanship, Geography & Art – Learn cursive, penmanship, US geography and important stories of our history. Art projects throughout the semester.
  • Survival Skills – Go on a scavenger hunt, put together an emergency kit, learn to use a compass, basic first aid and build a shelter and more.

10-11:15am (choose one):

  • [FULL] STEM – Build, create, solidify math facts and explore science.
  • Art 2 (intermediate) – For students with art experience in drawing and painting. Focus will be on drawing, watercolor painting, acrylics, and mixed media.
  • Coding II (must have previously done coding)
  • James & the Giant Peach – learn geography, how to tie a knot, art & writing. This class will include proper writing such as punctuation, grammar and sentence structure.

 

7th-9th

8:45-10am (choose one):

  • Leadership & Life Skills 1 – Learn about careers, finance, homemaking and more!
    Communication & life skills will be taught.

10-11:15am (choose one):

  • Leadership & Life Skill 2 – Continuation of Life Skills 1.

12:15-1:30pm (choose one):

  • [FULL] Little Scientists – Get hands on with fun science experiments for young learners. 
  • Arts & Crafts – Glue, cut, create and craft! From color wheel flowers, to alphabet collages, & handprint
    butterflies.

1:30-2:45pm (choose one):

  • Building & Engineering – Geared towards the child who loves to build, create, design & innovate.
  • Children’s Theater – Learn stories, practice memory work & recitation. Dress up, have fun, be silly or dramatic.  Class will also create a puppet show.

 

3rd-6th

12:15-1:30pm (choose one):

  • Children’s Theater – Acting, designing a set, music and fun playing different roles.
  • Science Experiments – Learn the proper steps of the scientific method and have fun with a variety of scientific experiments.
  • Intermediate Chess – must have done a semester of Chess at Ancora or have a knowledge of chess.
  • PE Skills & Games – capture the flag, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and more!

1:30-2:45pm (choose one):

  • Beginning Chess – Learn this centuries old game played by kings and queens, and have a tournament.
  • PE & Games – Capture the flag, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and more!
  • Tutoring Hour – Get help with homework and extra tutoring help.
  • Fencing – Learn this fun sport that involves the use of a sword for attack and defense. We will learn Sabre fencing.

 

7th-9th

12:15-1:30pm (choose one):

  • Theater & Acting – This will be a theatre production class, with acting and designing a set.
  • Tutoring Hour – Get help with homework and extra tutoring help.

1:30-2:45pm

  • PE & Games – Capture the flag, dodgeball, ultimate frisbee and more!
  • Survival Skills – Go on a scavenger hunt, put together an emergency kit, learn to use a compass, basic first aid and build a shelter and more.
